Robbery Arrest Made At Trumbull Mall: PD
A knife-wielding man lunged at security officers when they tried to stop him from stealing items, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after a robbery attempt at the Trumbull mall Jan. 10, according to police.
Loss prevention officers at Macy's noticed a man put merchandise into a laundry bag and attempted to leave the store without paying, police said. Jasmen Taylor, 43, took out a knife and lunged at loss prevention officers when confronted.
Taylor then ran outside the mall, but was apprehended by a police officer after a brief foot chase, police said. Nearly $2,200 worth of merchandise was recovered.

Taylor was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and interfering with police. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
