Trumbull Resident Wins Sacred Heart Academy Science Fair Award
The top 3 winners will be heading to the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF) at Quinnipiac University.
From Sacred Heart Academy: Sacred Heart Academy is pleased to announce the results of the Annual Science Fair. Again this year the projects were most impressive! The Top 3 in each division will be heading to the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF) at Quinnipiac University in March. CSEF, a yearly, statewide science and engineering fair provides a forum for middle and high school students to showcase their scientific prowess. The event helps attract young people to careers in science and engineering while developing skills essential to critical thinking. More than 12,000 students representing 127 schools compete for 700 coveted spaces at the statewide science and engineering fair.

Over the years the Sacred Heart Academy Science Department has received national and local attention for the school’s outstanding and innovative science programs, particularly the cutting- edge biotechnology program.
Founded in 1946 by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sacred Heart Academy successfully prepares young women in grades 9 – 12 for learning, service, and achievement in a global society. Sacred Heart, currently celebrating its 70 th anniversary, welcomes 500 students from more than 80 schools and 60 towns in Connecticut and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
