Track Friday

Track Friday is a national movement of active awareness for charities, held on the day after Thanksgiving -- a day that sadly has become synonymous with commercialism, door-buster sales, and marketing schemes.

Instead of breaking stories about people fighting over discounted televisions, wouldn't it be great to see people across the country spending time with their friends and families, burning some calories, and paying it forward to non-profits in our communities?

How It Works

On Track Friday, participants everywhere become personal advocates for causes they care about by heading out for a run or walk at a local track, park or running path, and making a donation of any amount to any charity.

Participants can create their own fundraising campaign to bring awareness to their favorite cause, or support one that already exists. Fundraisers share their campaigns within their social networks, friends and family to raise money and spread awareness. Since 2012, over 100 charities have benefited from the efforts of Track Friday participants.

http://www.trackfriday.org Heidi from H4Fitness and the Town of Trumbull Parks & Recreation department host the event at the Trumbull High School track. This is the only meet up in Connecticut and will be our 4th year. Track Friday will be November 23rd from 9am to 12pm.

Once a donation is made , thats it!~ come to the track, walk, run or just participate in a morning dedicated to health, charity and community. We will have face painting for the kids and a super awesome bake sale!
