A portion of a parcel was dedicated to former First Selectman Kenneth Halaby.
“Mr. Halaby’s legacy was one of responsible land use planning and open space preservation,” Herbst said. “I am proud to have succeeded him on the Planning and Zoning Commission and also into the First Selectman’s office. I consider him a mentor and a dear friend. I can think of no greater tribute to his legacy than the naming of 20 plus acres as an open space preserve,”
