Trumbull Amends Parking Regs for Nonresident Fishers

The town had planned to enforce a $112 per year parking fee for nonresidents.

TRUMBULL, CT - Nonresident fishers will be able to park and fish in Trumbull this year under a recently adopted regulation change, according officials.

The town had planned to enforce a $112 per year parking fee for nonresidents, reports the Trumbull Times. But the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection objected, and the department threatened not to stock the town's rivers with trout unless the regulation was changed.

Trumbull amended the rule by reverting back to its former regulation, which allows nonresidents to park for free if they have a state fishing license.
