Edward Andrew Mendell, 23, of Brownson Drive, Shelton, is charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police said Mendell was in a relationship with a minor.
His bond was set at $25,000 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
