Trumbull Day Canceled, Fireworks Postponed

Trumbull Day 2020 is officially canceled, but there is hope that fireworks can be done in the summer or fall.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Day is officially canceled for this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Trumbull Day Commission hopes to have a firework display sometime in late summer or early fall assuming that Gov. Ned Lamont further relaxes the limits on gathering sizes. Only 500 people could attend if fireworks were held on the scheduled July 3 date.

"The Trumbull Day Commission is planning to come back next summer with a Trumbull Day 2021 that is bigger and better than ever," the commission said in a statement.
