Trumbull police said Matthew Fabian was growing marijuana at his Daniels Farm Road home.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 49-year-old Trumbull man was arrested on a charge of operation of a drug factory after police discovered he was growing marijuana at his Daniels Farms Road home, according to authorities.

Matthew Fabian was arrested on a warrant Tuesday, after Trumbull police said "he had been observed by police moving several marijuana plants around his property and tending to them as the illegally grown plants were kept in various locations around the exterior of his residence."

Trumbull detectives began investigating after they "smelled the distinct odor of freshly growing marijuana plants emitting from Fabian’s property." Additionally, detectives also observed the plants in several locations on the property, which led to the department obtaining a search warrant.
