Trumbull School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Trumbull is August 31. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Trumbull Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/31: First Day of School

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/30: Grades PK-5 Early Closing, Afternoon Conferences

November

• 11/2: Grades PK-8 Early Closing, Afternoon Conferences
• 11/7: No School for Students (Teacher PD)
• 11/8: Grades PK-5 Early Closing, Evening Conferences
• 11/15: Grades 6-8 Early Closing, Afternoon/Evening Conferences
• 11/16: Grades 9-12 Early Closing, Afternoon/Evening Conferences
• 11/22: Early Closing for Students and Staff
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/22: Early Closing for Students and Staff
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/15: No School (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/16: No School (Long Weekend) - Reserved as a Snow Make-up Day
• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/1: Grades 9-12 Early Closing, Afternoon/Evening Conferences
