U.S. Senator Blumenthal Honors The CT United Ride

Planning Underway for CT's Largest 9/11 Tribute

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal spoke tonight at the kick-off meeting of The 17th CT United Ride, sponsored by The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut (UPFFA of CT) at The Original Vazzy's in Bridgeport. Senator Blumenthal thanked the entire planning committee of The CT United Ride and recognized Executive Director Fred Garrity Jr., Peter S. Carozza Jr., President of the UPFFA of CT, and the reception host Johnny Vazzano, the newly named 2018 Barnum Festival Ringmaster.

"Come Ride and Show Your Patriotic Pride, Wear your Red, White and Blue at CT's Largest 9/11 Tribute," said Fred Garrity Jr., The CT United Ride Executive Director. "Our motto is, 'For those that lost their lives, those that gave their life and those that continue to put their lives on the line each day to keep us safe, that is why we ride'" Garrity added.

The CT United Ride is on Sunday, September 10, 2017. The motorcycle parade route starts in Norwalk at Norden Park and travels to Westport, Wilton, Georgetown, Redding, Bethel, Newtown, Trumbull, Fairfield and ends in Seaside Park with Bridgeport's Fire Rescue 5 leading the motorcade. Registration for the ride is from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Norden Industrial Park, 10 Norden Place, Norwalk, CT 06856. Motorcycles are required, and restrictions apply. Early registration is availble on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Captain's Cove Marina, Bostwick Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
