Leslie Perrotti, 49, of Chatfield Drive, is charged with evading responsibility.
Police said Perrotti was driving a Hummer and rear-ended another car on Main Street near the Merritt Parkway, but failed to stop.
Police tracked her by her license plate.
Perrotti is free on a written promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
