VERNON, CT — Two teenagers were charged in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting at a Vernon apartment complex.

The arrests were made early Wednesday morning, police said.

Authorities said the shooting was a case of a brawl run amok. The teens were charged with weapons-related offenses — one is underage and the teen's name is exempt from disclosure under state law, while the other was identified as 18-year-old Dejon Miller. Each was armed with what police described as a "club" and the juvenile also had a bat during the altercation, police said.
