Brawl Involving Plow Marker, Bat Breaks Out At Vernon Complex: PD
A wild scene broke out at a Vernon apartment complex Sunday, police said.

VERNON, CT — A wild scene at a Vernon housing cluster Sunday ended with two people facing charges, police said.
The altercation broke out at 2:17 a.m. Sunday at the Countrywood Apartments on Route 83, according to an arrest report. Police said a man and a woman were loudly arguing in the parking area after returning from a casino trip.
The man, identified as 28-year-old Vernon resident David Finkbein, is accused of taking a wooden snowplow marker pole and smashing out the rear window of the woman's vehicle, according to the report.

Finkbein then called an acquaintance, identified as 28-year-old Vernon resident Melissa Hebert, police said. She came to the parking area and threatened the woman with a wooden baseball bat, police said.
Hebert was charged with second-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.

Finkbein was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace.
