Connecticut Disc Golf Courses are Perfect for Fall Views and a Little Competition

There are many disc golf courses scattered around the state.

Want to get outside this fall to enjoy the foliage views and get a little competition in at the same time?

Then try one of the many disc golf courses in Connecticut.

According to discgolfscene.com, there are 23 courses in the state. In all, 19 are public and four are private.

The public courses on at locations like Waveny Park in New Canaan to Wickham Park in Manchester (featured in video) to Ecker Hill/Vernon Center Middle School in Vernon to Panthorn Park in Southington to West Thompson Lake in North Grosvenordale.

Disc golf is a combination of Frisbee and golf with a specialized disk and baskets with chains used on the baskets to brace the impact and allow the discs to float softly into the "hole."
