"Connecticut's Premiere Gospel Singer" in Rockville on August 3

Corinne Kelley Collier to sing a mix of gospel, rhythm and blues

Jacob’s Well Christian Coffeehouse will feature gospel, rhythm and blues music by Corinne Kelley Collier on Friday, August 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. with live music starting at 7:30 p.m. The coffeehouse will be held at Bev’s Corner Drop-in Center, 3 Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. Admission and refreshments are free. Dress is casual. The air-conditioned facility is handicapped-accessible.

Collier was born and raised in Alabama, and moved to Hartford in 1967. While singing in a church choir, she was discovered by an agent and joined a rhythm and blues band. She toured throughout Jamaica, the West Indies, and the United States before returning to her gospel roots. North End Agents, Connecticut's largest African-American newspaper, has described her as Connecticut’s “premiere gospel singer.” For details and directions, please call 860.872.3190 or visit www.JacobsWellCoffeehouse.com.
