Construction of Vernon's Old Talcott Mill to Begin in October

Erland Construction Inc. awarded pre-construction and construction services.

New England company Erland Construction was recently awarded pre-construction and construction services for the "historic adaptive reuse" of the Talcott Brothers Mill in Vernon.

The company will convert the former mill into a mixed-use building with commercial and residential space. 

With the help of Crosskey Architects and Owner’s Project Manager, Laura Knott-Twine, construction is slated to begin in October, according to a news release.

When completed, the development, dubbed "Old Talcott Mill", will feature 83 apartment units and space for commercial tenants, including a community center, convenience store and gym, according to the release. 

Erland is the same company involved with the nearby Storrs Center Project.
