The Friends of Rockville Public Library want to thank all of the following in helping to make our December 14th cookie sale a success.
Thanks goes to Bogner's for donating our trays, to Mel, our shrink wrapper, to the library staff who took our orders, to our callers who helped contact our bakers, to our fun group who produced the gorgeous platters, to the Great Harvest Bread Bread Co., to the many bakers who did an outstanding job with the wonderful assortment of cookies, to those who donated to our sale but were unable to bake, to Carmine and Tom, our clean up crew, and to the community for supporting the Friends by purchasing our platters.
With the proceeds from our sale, the Friends will be able to provide the library's museum passes to our cardholders with a complete list and most available online at Rockvillepubiclibrary.org under Books & More, and the Friends were also able to purchase new tables and chairs in the Peck Room downstairs in the library. Some of the museum passes available are: Vintage Radio & Communication Museum, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Pez Candy Inc., The Lutz Children's Museum, New England Air Museum, The New Britain American Art Museum, and The Mark Twain House.

The Friends meet the first Thursday of each month, Sept.-May at noon in the library and new members are always welcome. Applications can be obtained online and at our bulletin board in the library. February will bring a member of CERT to explain what they do for our community and in March we will be joined by Pegi Deitz Shea, our poet laureate.
We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2020!!
