VERNON, CT — The snowstorm forecast to run from Wednesday into Thursday has prompted several schedule changes in Vernon.

Parking Ban

The town of Vernon is imposing a parking ban on all public streets effective at 5 p.m. Wednesday, until Friday at 7:00 a.m. Violators will be subject to being ticketed and/or towed.

Trash and Recycling

Thursday's trash and recycling collections have been called off to keep local roads clear for snowplows, town officials said.

Thursday trash and recycling will instead be collected Friday along with that day's regular collections, officials said.
