Details Posted For Vernon Memorial Day Parade

Details have been announced for Vernon's annual Memorial Day Parade.

VERNON, CT — Details have been announced for Vernon's annual Memorial Day Parade.

The parade is slated to step off at 10 a.m. from Northeast School on Monday, May 27. The route starts on East Street, takes a left onto Hale, a right onto Route 31 and a left onto Route 74.

It is sponsored by American Legion Post 14.

Hey are some key times:

  • 8:30a.m. - Ceremony at St. Bernard Cemetery
  • 10 a.m. - Parade starts at Northeast School
  • 10:30 a.m. - Ceremony at Grove Hill Cemetery
  • 11:15 a.m. - Ceremony at Central Park in front of Town Hall

Mayor Daniel Champagne has invited all veterans to participate. Vets can walk or parade officials will provide transportation. Vets can call the mayor's office at 860-870-3600 to inquire.
