Driver Killed In Vernon Crash Identified As South Windsor Man
A driver killed in a Dec. 22 crash on Route 83 in Vernon has been identified as a South Windsor man, police said.

VERNON, CT — A driver killed in a Dec. 22 crash on Route 83 in Vernon has been identified as an 84-year-old South Windsor resident, police said.
According ta police report, John Delaney was driving the Pontiac Bonneville that collided with a Ford Fusion in the area of 400 Talcottville Road, the local address for that section of Route 83. Delaney was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical center and later died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to a report.
The operator of the Ford Fusion was identified as a 19-year-old Vernon resident, according to a report. The teen was transported to Hartford Hospital along with a juvenile passenger with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed, police said.
