Driver With Stolen Plates Flees Cops At 85 MPH On Tunnel Road
State police caught up to a driver in Vernon who sped away from a trooper after exiting the highway, a report says.

VERNON, CT — A driver that was speeding away from state police on Tunnel Road in Vernon at a clip of better than 85 mph turned out to be using stolen registration plates, an arrest report indicates.
The incident took place on July 1.
The driver, identified as Yanni Dante Caster-Beckett, a 23-year-old from East Hartford, was first spotted on the Westbound side of Interstate-84, by state police at 11:55 p.m., according to an arrest report. He exited the highway at Exit 66 in an effort to elude state police and sped down Tunnel Road, according to an arrest report.

State police eventually caught up to him, according to a report.
Caster-Beckett was charged with reckless driving, the theft of plates, driving an unregistered vehicle, an insurance violation and the improper use of plates.
