"A Drummer Boy Christmas" in Rockville on December 14

Special 2nd Friday edition of Jacob's Well Christian Coffeehouse

Jacob’s Well Christian Coffeehouse will feature “A Drummer Boy Christmas,” a unique presentation by Drew Crandall, on Friday, December 14. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the program
starting at 7:30 p.m. The coffeehouse will be held at Oasis, the newly-renovated 1800’s storefront at 3 Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. Admission is free and open to the public.
Dress is casual. The facility is accessible to the handicapped.

The Little Drummer Boy (originally known as Carol of the Drum) is a popular Christmas song written in 1941. In the lyrics, a poor young boy is summoned by the Magi to the nativity of Jesus. Without a gift for the infant, the drummer boy plays his drum with Jesus' mother
Mary's approval, saying "I played my best for Him" and "He smiled at me."

As a child, Crandall was also a “Little Drummer Boy,” picking up his first pair of drumsticks at seven years old. Back then, however, he didn’t know Jesus and he wasn’t allowed to drum in church. During this special Christmas season coffeehouse, Crandall will introduce guests to
the fascinating, little-known world of drumming and share his story about how Jesus changed his life and how he now plays drums to honor Jesus. The first 75 attendees will receive a free drum Christmas tree ornament.
