Final Acts Named For Vernon Summer Concert Series
The last two dates for the Vernon summer concert series presented by Mayor Daniel Champagne have been announced.
VERNON, CT — The last two dates for the Vernon summer concert series presented by Mayor Daniel Champagne and the Vernon Parks and Recreation Department have been announced.

- Rock and Country junction pay a visit as "Coyote River Band" plays The Vernon Summer Concert Series presented by Mayor Daniel Champagne and the Parks and Recreation Department on Thursday, August 15th. The concert, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Santini Homes, Inc., will be held at the picnic grove area located by McCoy Field in Henry Park at 120 South Street from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Coyote River Band is made up of six talented musicians who perform a variety of genres for a wide audience appeal. The band provides motivation to dance to cover songs from Johnny Cash, the Eagles, Steely Dan and the Bee Gees. The list of favorites continues with songs from Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Pat Benatar, Heart and Rod Stewart to just name a few. The group was founded in 2010 and added members in 2012 to evolve to its current band status.
(Coyote River Band)- The rocking sounds of Nightshift will put an exclamation point on this year’s Vernon Summer Concert Series presented by Mayor Daniel Champagne and the Parks and Recreation Department as it concludes on Thursday, August 22nd. The concert will be held at the picnic grove area located by McCoy Field in Henry Park at 120 South Street from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Nightshift has five talented band members with great musical backgrounds. Wint Fenderson is lead vocalist, Kenny Hicks is on keyboards and vocals, Brian Camilleri plays electric bass guitar and supplies vocals, Fred Bretthauer plays lead guitar and adds vocals and Mark Carter is on drums. The group plays popular, fun and danceable songs that appeal to all ages. Lynyard Skynyard, Journey, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, and The Doors are among the artists whose songs they perform. They will keep your feet moving for the entire show.
