Although our library has not been opened except for curbside pickup or by appointment until now, the Friends board has continued to meet when the weather permits at Henry Park. We continue to provide museum passes with most available online on the library website, rockvillepubliclibrary.org under Books and More or at the library. The Friends are again providing the Book Page which can be picked up at the library's front or back counter.
At the library's request, the Friends have donated 9 $25 gift cards, three for each category, children, teen. and adult for their Summer Reading Program. At the library's suggestions, the Friends purchased gift cards for Amazon, Rein's, Woodbridge Pizza, Garden Barn, Rita's Ice, Wing Stop, and Fairway Golf in South Windsor. The library's website explains the instructions for each level and how to win prizes.
We do not meet in June, July, or August and hope to be able to meet as a group in September in the library. Stay tuned as we wait for instructions from the library which as a reminder is now owned by the town. Also as a reminder, the Friends are now a non-profit, 501c3 and will happily accept any bottle return receipts which can be left at the front desk designated for the Friends.
