Globally-known Irish composer and singer returning to Rockville
Robin Mark to lead community-wide worship service inside Union Church on Friday, August 24
Robin Mark, a globally-known composer and singer from Belfast, Ireland, will lead an acoustic community-wide worship service on Friday, August 24 in the gorgeous 600+ seat 1890 sanctuary at Union Church, 3
Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. Doors open at 6 p.m.; service starts at 7 p.m. Dress is casual. The facility is handicapped-accessible. No tickets are required; general admission is free and open to the public. An offering will be taken to help with expenses.
During the two-set service with an intermission, Mark will lead the assembly in praise and worship through many of his original songs including All For Jesus, All Is Well, Fly, Days of Elijah, How Great Are You Lord, Hurricane, I Will Walk, Our God Saves, Revival, Your Banner, You Said, You’re the Lion of Judah, We See the Lord, Whenever You Smile and Wonder of Your Cross. Participants will be able to visit displays by various ministries and purchase Robin Mark CDs in the adjacent chapel.
"The core purposes of this service are to lift up Jesus, share the Good News and celebrate the Christian journey," says organizer Drew Crandall; "Robin led similar worship services at Union Church in 2012
and 2017, and the sanctuary was filled. We are inviting Christians of all traditions to gather together in unity to praise our Creator."
