Gottier Fuel named RDA Business of the Month for June
Rockville-based company was founded in 1960, is very community-minded

Today, the Rockville Downtown Association (RDA) named Gottier Fuel its Business of the Month for June. Founded in 1960 by Nelson and Warren Gottier, the full-service home heating company provides for the energy needs of customers in many East of the River communities. In recent years, the company has introduced BioHeat Plus, an environment-friendly blend of heating oil and renewable oils made domestically from soy, sunflowers, vegetable oils and other natural sources. The company is very community-minded, supporting organizations such as the Friends of Hockanum River Linear Trail, girls softball, Kidsafe, Little League, Project Graduation, the Rockville High School lacrosse team and marching band, Strong Farm, and Vernon Senior Softball League. Participating in an award ceremony held in front of its colorful, recently rebranded vehicles were (left to right): RDA Board member Becky Orlowski, Gottier Fuel co-owners Eric Gottier and Jason Gottier, RDA Board member Rene Lambert, and RDA President Drew Crandall.
