Hockanum Brew Fest donates $5,000 to American Legion Post 14

Supporting local veterans was a priority for new brew fest organizers

Launching a new event is a mountain to climb, involving a substantial amount of work, expense and risk. When the Hockanum Brew Fest organizing team began the journey last fall, their dream was to have a successful event in every way, including financially. They wanted the Hockanum Brew Fest to be in the black and to generate a surplus which could be donated to non-profits, particularly American Legion Rockville Post 14 to support our veterans.

During a ceremony on Monday evening, the brew fest organizing team presented Post 14 with a check in the amount of $5,000. In the photo, Benjamin Klimczak, President of the Rockville Community Alliance

gives the check to Post Commander Jim George. This is just another way in which the new Hockanum Brew Fest was a home run for the community.
