Hours Expanding At Vernon Senior Center, Rockville Library
Hours have expanded at two popular Vernon venues.

VERNON, CT — The Rockville Public Library and the Vernon Senior Center expanded hours and services.
The Rockville Public Library, including the children’s department and mezzanine, is now open to patrons on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 1 to 6 p.m.
Weekend hours are expected to resume shortly.

Curbside pickup of library materials continues to be available for patrons during regular library hours.
Patrons are able to reserve computers for up to an hour.

The Vernon Senior Center is now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Senior Center members have to preregister for all activities and programs. Some programs will continue virtually.
"The Rockville Public Library and the Vernon Senior Center are important community institutions that
enrich the lives of so many of our residents," Vernon Mayor Daniel Champagne said. “"As the pandemic
eases, people are ready to resume the rhythms of everyday life. We are ready to help them do that
while at the same time ensuring the health and safety of our residents and staff."
The Town of Vernon continues to follow state guidance and recommends that all visitors to town
buildings wear face masks and practice social distancing.
