Live Musical Tribute to Gene Pitney in Rockville on August 10

Local singer accompanied by backup singers and orchestra to sing many of Pitney's famous songs

On Friday, August 10 at 7 pm, a live tribute show for Gene Pitney, "The Rockville Rocket," will be held inside the 600-seat sanctuary at Union Church, 3 Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon. The one-of-a-kind event will run from 7 to 10 pm. General admission tickets are $17 and available in advance online at www.EventBrite.com or at Dave's Cobbler Shop, 19 West Main Street in Rockville. If the show is not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door. Dress is casual. The facility is handicapped-accessible.

Gene Pitney is Rockville's most famous and favorite hometown hero. He rose to superstar status as a composer, singer and recording artist, performing around the world but never forgetting his humble Rockville roots. The live tribute show is being organized by local singer Eva Devine, who will be accompanied by back-up singers and an orchestra.
