LongHorn Chef Giving Up His Grilling Tips With Steak Sales
A popular steakhouse is offering not only its prime cuts, but will share the chef's recipe and grilling tips.

MANCHESTER/ENFIELD, CT — A popular steakhouse is offering not only its butchered meats, but will share the chef's recipe and grilling tips for those picking them up curbside.
Officials for the LongHorn Steakhouse chain, which has restaurants in Manchester and Enfield (with an opening in Southington on hold), announced last week that it was adding uncooked orders to its current takeout and curbside service. Judging by the line of cars in Manchester on Sunday, the drive-up thing been a success.
LongHorn has introduced the LongHorn Steak Shop, which features steak cuts that guests can order online and pick-up at their local restaurants.

Here are the details:
- Guests can choose from a variety of uncooked signature LongHorn steak cuts, such as the Flo's Filet, Outlaw Ribeye, Renegade Sirloin and New York Strip. Prices start at $6 per steak
- Each order comes with LongHorn’s proprietary seasoning, cooking instructions from LongHorn’s Grill Masters and Honey Wheat Bread. Side dishes are also available to order and heat up at home, and many locations offer beer, wine and liquor to go, where permissible
- Guests can order online at LongHornSteakhouse.com and pick-up from their local restaurant same-day using LongHorn’s Curbside To Go service.
For guests that prefer an already-cooked meal, the restaurant is offering Family Meal Deals starting at $9 per person for a family of four, as well as its full menu available for curbside pickup. To order, guests can visit LongHornSteakhouse.com.

LongHorn Steakhouse Executive Chef Michael Senich has given up his grilling secrets:
Ingredients
- 4 8 oz. filets
- 1 container of LongHorn Steakhouse’s proprietary seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of canola oil
Directions
- LongHorn Steakhouse’s 8 oz. filets are grilled on a flat-top grill, similar to a cast iron pan or griddle that can be used at home.
- Heat the pan to medium-high heat.
- Season steaks generously with LongHorn Steakhouse’s proprietary seasoning.
- Add canola oil to the griddle.
- Place seasoned steaks on griddle.
- Grill to your desired degree of doneness, flipping the steak every 3 to 4 minutes.
