Marquis Laughlin performing “The Gospel of John” on November 2

Rare Connecticut appearance by gifted orator-actor from Pittsburgh

Jacob’s Well Coffeehouse, downtown Rockville's monthly Christian nightclub, will feature The Gospel of John by Marquis Laughlin on Friday, November 2. Doors open at 7 p.m. This special performance will be held in the Union Church sanctuary at 3 Elm Street. Admission is free and open to the public. Dress is casual. The facility is accessible to the handicapped.

Laughlin is a performance artist from metro Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founder of Acts of the Word Ministries, and host of a nationally syndicated radio talk show called The Moral Dilemma airing on over 200 stations. He has a remarkable capacity to memorize huge portions of scripture and act them out in dramatic, soul-stirring one-man plays.

In the Gospel of John chapters 1-20, the apostle uses seven carefully selected events that he witnessed firsthand, to give proof that Jesus is the Messiah. Laughlin will perform these passages in two 45-minute acts, with a brief intermission in between. For details and directions, please call 860.872.3190 or visit www.JacobsWellCoffeehouse.com.
