Motorcycle Driver Seriously Hurt In Vernon Off-Ramp Crash
A serious motorcycle crash took place in Vernon over the weekend.

VERNON, CT — A Massachusetts man was seriously inured in a weekend motorcycle crash in Vernon, state police said.
The crash took place at 6:10 p.m. Saturday near the Exit 64 eastbound off-ramp of Interstate-84, state police said.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 58-year-old Hampden, MA, resident, had to take what state police described as "evasive action" coming off the highway because of traffic backed up at a red light.

The motorcycle then hit a curb and a sign post and the man was thrown from the bike, according to a crash report. He was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious head injuries via Life Star helicopter, according to a crash report.
