Mulch Available to Vernon Residents

VERNON, CT - Vernon residents looking to spruce up their yards may now acquire mulch from the town.

The Vernon Public Works Department will deliver a 4-cubic-yard load of mulch (if available) for $60. Mulch will be delivered onto driveways only at a location clearly marked by the resident, according to a statement from town officials.

Interested parties should call the Public Works Office at 860-870-3500 to schedule a delivery.

Mulch will continue to be available at the Transfer Station to Vernon residents free of charge. A permit and punchcard are not required. The Transfer Station is located on Hockanum Boulevard, and is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
