VERNON, CT - A quick rainstorm followed by bright sunshine on Thursday evening produced quite a rainbow over the center of town.

It could be seen vividly over the Vernon Police Department and public safety complex at about 7 p.m.

Children exiting an event at Center Road School took a break from the playground and stopped to look at the scene.
