RDA hosting tour of Vernon Water Pollution Control Facility
Latest in ongoing series of tours of interesting Rockville places on Thursday, November 8 at noon

On Thursday, November 8 at 12 noon, the Rockville Downtown Association (RDA) will host a custom tour of the Vernon Water Pollution Control Facility at 100 Windsorville Road. Registration is capped at 20 people, so it is best to reserve space by calling 860.871.6500 or emailing info@rdact.com.
This tour is part of an ongoing series of RDA tours of interesting Rockville places, including Anocoil (Presstek), Atlas Hobbing & Tool, Connecticut Water Company, New England Motorcycle Museum, Opportunity Works, Rockville General Hospital and Swiss Cleaners.
"We hear a lot about the need for a strong infrastructure, but most people have no idea what that really means or entails," says RDA President Drew Crandall. "Earlier this year, RDA hosted a custom tour of Connecticut Water Company's upgraded Rockville water treatment plant. Attendees were fascinated to learn how clean water gets from the Shenipit Reservoir to our homes and businesses. Now, we're organizing a tour on how our dirty water and sewage gets clean before being discharged into the Hockanum River. So, we're covering both ends of the water spectrum."
