Rockville Downtown Association on the move this fall
Rockville Retail Revival project on October 28-29, Rockville Business Expo on November 23, Small Business Saturday on November 30
This fall, the Rockville Downtown Association (RDA) has a very active schedule. Weather permitting, RDA is organizing a grassroots community initiative called Rockville Retail Revival on October 28-29. At least five storefronts along West Main Street across from Central Park will be power washed and repainted, with new awnings installed to spruce up the visual appeal of the storefronts containing Studio 467, Flint's Barber Shop, Conventional Contractors and LaBrioche Bakery. The color scheme will match the new facade on the Citizen's Block on Park Place.
On Saturday, November 23 from 11 am to 2 pm, RDA will host the 2nd annual Rockville Business Expo at Opportunity Works, 43 West Main Street in downtown Rockville. This event will feature four exhibition halls full of displays by local businesses, crafters and organizations; a food service area; and a health fair sponsored by ECHN. Admission is free and open to the public.
During the week of Thanksgiving, RDA will install new LED snowflake lights on the historic lamp posts in Central Park, and install snowflake-themed banners on utility poles throughout Rockville to add to the festive atmosphere of downtown Rockville during the winter months.
