Steve Rodgers to perform in Rockville on March 6
Connecticut native has toured the USA and parts of Europe

Jacob’s Well Coffeehouse, downtown Rockville’s monthly Christian nightclub, will feature composer, singer and guitarist Steve Rodgers on Friday, March 6. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music starting at 7:30 p.m. The quaint café-style coffeehouse will be held at The Oasis, a renovated 1800’s storefront located at 3 Elm Street in the Rockville section of Vernon. Admission and refreshments are free. Dress is casual.
Rodgers is a life-long, nationally recognized songwriter, musician, miniatures artist and entrepreneur. He grew up in New Haven and is a resident of Hamden. He spent his youth as the front man and leader of the band Mighty Purple, which toured nationwide as well as parts of Europe. He spent 15 years championing the music and art of others as founder and director of Space Ballroom in Hamden, where people have a platform to express themselves through music, art and the spoken word. He currently serves as the worship leader at St Paul Lutheran Church in Westport. His goal is to share his music and positive message with people from all walks of life. Rodgers seeks to share the love of Christ through songs with stories that he has accumulated through his life’s journey
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2020, Jacob’s Well is one of the oldest continuously-operating coffeehouses in Connecticut. It is patterned after the original Jesus Movement coffeehouses in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
