Strong Family Farm Scarecrow Contest

Looking for a fun late-summer activity? The Strong Family Farm Annual Scarecrow Contest is open for entries! Each entrant will be assigned one of the Farm’s fence posts along Peterson road in Vernon to display their scarecrow. There is no fee for individuals or groups to enter! Special West Street fence posts are available to businesses for a donation to the Farm. There are 5 contest categories: Family, Youth Group, Adult Group, Businesses, and Traditional. Scarecrow set up begins September 26 and continues through October 4. Winners will be announced and receive blue ribbons at a special, socially-distanced, filmed event on October 17.
