Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested After Buy/Bust Operation
The 37-year-old man is now facing several charges.

A 37-year-old man is facing several charges after members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force, along with members of the Vernon Police Department, conducted a buy/bust operation in the area of 296 Hartford Tpk. in Vernon.
Suspected drug dealer Richard Daigle, of 53 Cipolla Dr. in East Hartford, was taken into custody without incident after task force members observed him selling prescription suboxone 8mg. sublinguals. Suboxone is used in the treatment of opiate dependence.

Taskforce members seized 15, 8mg Suboxone sublinguals as a result of this arrest. Daigle was selling the 8mg Suboxones for $12 each.

Taskforce members also served four separate arrest warrants on Daigle for sale and possession of narcotics stemming from previous ECNTF operations in which Daigle was observed selling Suboxone to an undercover officer.
For the July 20 incident, he was charged with sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics. He faces the same charges for the other four warrants and has a total bond of $375,000.
The East Central Narcotics Taskforce, in cooperation with other municipal and federal law enforcement agencies, is interested in stopping illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, Vernon, South Windsor, and Glastonbury communities.
