TOLLAND, CT — Town manager Michael Rosen has submitted at $58.4 million budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

Education

• 70.12 percent of the budget
• Percentage increase: 2.46

Municipal

• Total: $12,655,147
• 21.64 percent of the budget
• Percentage increase: 2.28
• Dollar increase $282,507

Capital Improvements

• Total: $167,942
• 0.29 percent of the budget
• Decrease: $24.621

Debt Service

• Total: $,650,000
• 7.95 percent of the budget

Tax Rate

• Proposes increase: 1.26 mills
• Percentage increase: 3.5 percent
• Use of Fund Balance: $350,000
• Use of Stabilization Fund is budgeted: $110,000
• Proposed tax rate: 37.31 mills

A public hearing on the town manager's proposed budget is slated for March 17 at 7 p.m., remotely.

The Town Council's annual budget Presentation is scheduled for April 19 at 7 p.m., remotely.

The budget presentation will be posted on the town's website for those who cannot attend evening meetings.

The annual budget referendum is on tap for May 4.
