Vernon Man Heading Back to Prison
The 31-year-old was recently sentenced on drug charges.

A 31-year-old Vernon man was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison, and it’s not his first trip there, reports the Journal Inquirer.
Jarvis Chambers pled guilty to two counts of sale of drugs and one count of conspiracy to sell drugs, related to selling crack cocaine to undercover officers three times in 2014.

During one of the sales, he sent his sister, Erica Chambers, to sell crack cocaine to an undercover East Central Narcotics Taskforce agent, while her child was in the vehicle. The other two times, an officer said he arranged a drug sale with Chambers and bought crack cocaine from him.
Chambers was a teenager in 2002 when he was first prosecuted for selling marijuana, getting him a 21-month sentence. In 2004, Chambers was charged with dealing marijuana a second time, but this time a gun was involved and he was sentenced to five years in prison followed by three years of special parole.

In 2009, he was released on parole, but a succession of run-ins with the law caused him to violate it. He was discharged from parole in 2012, but was put on probation following a domestic assault.
