Former Area Resident Who Helped Produce 2 Movies Dies At 98
A Vernon native and former Manchester resident who was part of two movie productions has died at 98.

VERNON, CT —A Vernon native who had a hand in producing two movies has died at the age of 98.
Beverley Claire (Kellner) Plumb Battiston of Chatsworth, CA, died Monday surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 28, 1922, in the Rockville section of Vernon. She was the daughter of the late
Edward and Anne Kellner.

Battison received her M.S. degree from the University of Connecticut.
Before her retirement in 1979, she taught Business Education at Bolton High School.

She lived in Manchester for several years.
After marrying Guy Battiston, she moved to Yucca Valley, CA, where they lived for many years.
Battison was an executive producer on two films produced by her son Edward, "The Boneyard Collection" (2006) and the soon-to-be-released "Angel With A Gun."
In addition to teaching, she loved traveling, reading, animals, spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and significant other, Diane Marie King and Robert Ferkle of Chatsworth; her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Carolyn Plumb of Encino, CA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Plumb and Victoria Rose Plumb; and several nephews and nieces. She has a stepson, Karl Palumbo of East Haven, CT, from her first marriage.
A Catholic Mass is scheduled for Feb. 12 at St John Eudes in Chatsworth, CA. Burial will be at
Grove Hill Cemetery located in Vernon, CT with a Memorial service slated for later in 2021 or
2022.
"The Boneyard Collection" is a black comedy/film noir in a horror setting.
