Vernon Obituary: Kaleah McQueen, 27
She graduated from Windsor High School, class of 2008, and she was a member of the Windsor High School gospel choir.

Kaleah A. Mc Queen, 27, of Vernon, formerly of Windsor, passed on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Rockville General Hospital.
She was born in Hartford to Michael and Colleen (Walker) McQueen. She attended Windsor Public Schools and graduated from Windsor High School, class of 2008, and she was a member of the Windsor High School gospel choir.
Kaleah enjoyed taking selfies, and always made sure to have the right angles and the best lighting. She was a fantastic mom to Zyaire and N’Jhae Thompson. Kaleah was a very caring and loving person, who loved to be with family.

She was employed with Marc of Manchester, as a job coach. Her clients and co-workers loved her spirit and attitude, she made everyone feel special.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Velma Walker and great grandmothers, Hilda Saddler and Delcita Stibble. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children; Zyaire and N’Jhae Thompson, parents; Michael and Colleen McQueen, two sisters; Mileen McQueen and Kendi McQueen; a brother, Kamahl McQueen (Marta), grandparents; Edward R. Walker “Poppa”, Carmen Walker (Carroll) and Albert McQueen; aunts and uncles; Jennifer Lindo-Watt, Sophia Genius, Edward H. Walker (Katrina), Sean Walker, Kevin Walker, Janet Watson, Linval Leslie (Antoinette), Carlton Leslie (Priscilla), Oran Walker, Amanda Walker, Pauline Walker, Lola Walker, Valerie Walker, Mazie Walker, Yvonne Walker, and Andrew McQueen; nieces and nephews; Kam'ron, Nevaeh, Kamari and Kamora and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Justin-St. Michael Church, 230 Blue Hills Ave. Hartford, at 10:00 am with a calling hour prior to at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
