Vernon Obituary: Nathan Choquette, 22

In the final weeks of his life, Nathan was very proud to have become a team member at the local Price Chopper.

On October 15, 2018 we said a tearful goodbye to our beloved son, brother, and grandson, Nathan John Choquette (Nov. 27, 1995 - Oct. 15, 2018) of Vernon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father Scott R. Choquette and his wife Kellie of Hamden, his mother Renee E. Mullett and her husband Sean of Somers, brother Brandon Choquette and his fiancé Nastassia Tedeschi of Vernon, and grandparents Larry and Penny Choquette and Patricia Girard. He was pre-deceased by his grandfather John Girard. Nathan also leaves many uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends, including his step-brother Sean Mullett, Jr. and step-sister Carolyn Mullett.

Nathan was a creative soul who enjoyed drawing, cooking, and most recently photography. He enjoyed listening to rap music and had a subtle poetic streak to his quirky personality. He was notably a loyal and caring brother who valued above all things his close friendship with Brandon.

Sometimes perceived as shyness, Nathan's calm thoughtfulness was known by a trusted few. He kept things close to the chest and never wanted to burden anyone. Some of Nathan's happiest times were spent vacationing at his family's cottage on Plainfield Pond in Massachusetts. During these trips he enjoyed kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, scaring his family while riding the quad, roasting marshmallows, and sitting around the fire.

In his younger years, Nathan was a talented baseball player in Rockville Little League, participated in Cub Scouts, enjoyed cross-country running in Jr. High School and attended Rockville High School. In the final weeks of his life, Nathan was very proud to have become a team member at the local Price Chopper.
