Vernon Police ID Motorcycle Rider Killed In Friday Night Crash
Vernon police have identified the motorcycle rider killed in a Friday crash.
VERNON, CT — Vernon Police have identified the rider of the motorcycle killed in a Friday night crash on Route 83 as a 61-year-old man from the Rockville section of town.
Willie Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash took place at 8:53 p.m. on Route 83 near the Thrall Road intersection, police said.

The crash involved a 2009 Honda CRV operated by a 46-year-old Ellington man.
Vernon Police are continuing to investigate the crash and, as of Monday morning, no charges had been filed.
