Vernon Starbucks Mysteriously Closes ... Again

VERNON, CT — For the second time in about six months, the Vernon Starbucks has mysteriously closed.

Vernon's lone Starbuck's is located at 135 Talcottville Road.

Frustrated and confused customers were greeted with a sign on the door Friday saying the store is "temporarily" closed.

It continued, "Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. We are working to reopen our store as quickly as possible."

A sign blocking the drive-up window said the store was closed "until further notice."

No other explanations were offered. No one was answering the phone at the store.

The closest other Starbucks is in Deming Street in Manchester. A staffer answering the phone was not sure why the Vernon location was closes and surmised it was for deep cleaning."

A staffer at the Spencer Street Starbucks in Manchester was also not entirely sure why the Vernon location was closed.

The location had also closed in early July for "staffing issues."
