VERNON, CT — The latest stop for the Vernon Mobile Coronavirus Vaccination Unit was as downtown as it gets Tuesday with a clinic at Central Park adjacent to town hall.

An afternoon walk-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic was staged. A total of 195 Johnson & Johnson vaccines were available and town officials had no idea what to expect since the clinic was strictly a walk-up affair.

"This is good ... very good," Vernon Town Administrator Michael Purcaro said when he saw the crowd.
