2 Accused Of Operating Drug Factory In Wallingford Home: Police
Police said more than 6 pounds of marijuana was found in various stages of cultivation inside the home.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Two people were recently arrested after police said they found more than 6 pounds of marijuana in various stages of cultivation inside their home in Wallingford.
Nicholas Artaiz, 32, and Kyle Cocco, 25, of North Cherry Street, were arrested March 3 on a warrant and each charged with operating a drug factory, possession with intent to sell, sale of illegal drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance greater than a ½ ounce of cannabis.
The arrests stem from an incident on Feb. 24 when police responded to reports of a physical dispute in the 200 block of North Cherry Street, according to officials.

Officers found “large amounts of marijuana and marijuana processing materials” in the apartment, police said.
Detectives obtained a search-and-seizure warrant for the home and found about 6.55 pounds of marijuana in “various stages of cultivation and process, marijuana wax and materials to process it and items for the packaging and sales of marijuana,” police said.

Artaiz was released after posting a $25,000 bond with a court date of April 12, according to state judicial records.
Cocco was released after posting a $25,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 15.
