Wallingford, Nov 6 - Autism Services and Resources Connecticut (ASRC) today officially kicked off it’s “Campaign for Caring 2019”, focused on supporting, enhancing and expanding the programs, advocacy, referrals, events, and support groups they provide throughout Connecticut. In addition to the campaign kickoff, ASRC also announced its participation in the GivingTuesday global day of giving, as well as it’s Live Art Auction Fundraiser, both under the umbrella of the Campaign.
“Without the support of the many generous members of the greater Autism community, ASRC would not be able to provide the many meaningful programs and services to people on the spectrum, their families, and caregivers” said Leslie Macnab, ASRC Executive Director. “Please help to make a difference for those on the spectrum with a gift to ASRC. Your impact will be felt immediately.”
GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.

ASRC promotes the development of supports and additional resources for families with a child on the autism spectrum, and the financial requirements of doing so are significant. Individuals with autism deserve to have a chance for a good life in the community. It is especially important for caring individuals to do all that we can to make sure that remains a priority.
