ATM Stolen From Laundromat In Wallingford: Police

Police said the burglars smashed the glass front door and carried out the ATM. Two other smash and grab burglaries happened the same night.

WALLINGFORD, CT — An ATM was stolen from a laundromat after the burglars smashed the front glass door early Sunday morning in Wallingford, according to police.

Police responded to Ultra Coin Laundromat at 857 North Main Street Ext. around 6:30 a.m. on the report of a possible break-in, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Police found that the laundromat was burglarized and the ATM machine was taken by the suspects, who had smashed the front glass door, Jaques said.

The suspects then left the scene in what appeared to be a sedan.

Jaques said police are investigating to see if two other smash-and-grab-style burglaries that happened during the same overnight period are linked.

One happened at 3:26 a.m. at Parkway Mobile, 1001 North Colony Rd., and the other at 3:26 a.m. at Family Dollar at 978 North Colony Rd.
